Making it better without making it over

Earlier this year, I started a new job at Indeed, and my first stop was the team responsible for the mobile version of the job search site -- a project that got its start in the earliest days of the iPhone, long before Node, Webpack, React, Babel, ES6 and so many other technologies and practices we've come to take for granted. In this talk, I'll share how we managed to apply some modern practices (and a little bit of math) to a vintage application, improving performance and maintainability without starting over from scratch.
Rebecca is a software engineer at Indeed, where she leads efforts to evangelize, standardize, and implement front-end best practices across the applications that power the world’s number one job search site.
